On August 29th, the brand-new club Fixy opened its doors for the very first time with a soft opening night that immediately set the tone for what’s to come. Behind the decks all night long was DJ Benwal, the Groningen-based artist known for his deep, driving Techno and House sets.
The event sold out within minutes, filling Fixy with energy from the very start. To mark the occasion, OFUR designed an exclusive T-Shirt for the night. The high-quality garment featured a design by Jacob Kuiper and was available only during the event. Within 15 minutes the item was completely sold out. For those who missed the opportunity to buy one, unfortunately no restock will be made.
Spotlight on DJ Benwal
Benwal (real name Gijs van Ringen) is a rising star from Groningen, crafting euphoric sets at the intersection of trance, rave, and house. Inspired by 90s energy with a modern twist, he’s becoming a recognizable force in Europe’s electronic scene, celebrated for his dynamic, genre-blending performances.
His breakthrough came at Pleinvrees Festival (2022), followed by a standout appearance at ESNS (2023). Since then, Benwal has performed at some of the biggest names in the game: A State of Trance, Lowlands, Zomerparkfeest, Into the Woods (ADE), Parookaville, Awakenings Summer Festival, Drift, Paaspop, Garnizoen, and more. Each set has reinforced his reputation as one of the most exciting emerging DJs to watch.
